About the club

The UDSM AI Community is a group of AI enthusiasts dedicated to promoting AI education, research, and innovation. Our mission is to equip students with practical skills in AI and empower them to create innovative solutions to real-world problems.

History

Founded in 2021 by a group of undergraduate students passionate about AI. Since then, the club has grown significantly, and we have achieved several milestones, including organizing AI workshops and hackathons.

Membership

Membership in the UDSM AI is open to all students of the University of Dar es Salaam who have an interest in AI. To become a member, interested students can sign up on our website and attend our monthly meetings.

Activities

The UDSM AI hosts several events and activities throughout the year, including AI workshops, hackathons, and guest lectures by experts in the field. We also have ongoing research projects in areas such as Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning.

Partnerships

We have established partnerships with several academic departments and industry organizations to support our research and educational initiatives. These partnerships have allowed us to collaborate on research projects, organize joint events, and share resources and expertise.

Currently we are under UISS Community and working hand in hand with other Ai clubs at the university including Sarufi (Nuerotech Africa) , Zindi, and Google Developer student club GDSC
